The Prevent Duty (TPRDU)

Description
This course is aimed at everyone and aims to ensure that people are better prepared to safeguard vulnerable people from being radicalised to supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves.

It is part of our duty of care to be aware of vulnerabilities and indicators of radicalisation and be able to recognise and respond to any concerns ensuring appropriate help and support is put in place in a timely manner, for the safety of all.

The Prevent strategy, published by the Government in 2011, is part of England and Wales overall counter-terrorism strategy. The aim of the Prevent strategy and the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015, is to reduce the threat to the UK from terrorism by preventing people from being drawn into terrorism.

This cover provides an awareness of the due regard needed to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism.
